This is my go to pass, but have two issues: 1. They get their wrist inside my throat and frame on the side I have pinned, and 2. I get caught with the lockdown on my leg and can’t pass.
Okay cool. So about the frame; if you have a good under hook it shouldn’t really be a problem but it’s hard to ‘discuss’ from here. As for the lockdown. Focus on dealing with that first, to do my best at explaining here; bring your own heel to your butt and cirkel/windshield out and walk your foot up. I might have a video on that on our channel btw.

HI, I like your video - quick question for you - could you elaborate on your defense to rolling headlock entries from your opponent? How do you prefer to avoid them? You mentioned not letting your head drift too far forward, but dont you think they can still do a rolling front headlock even when you have a bit higher posture? Thanks for any advice.
Good question! I’ll try my best to explain it here but that’s hard 😅 So yes, they can still do rolling front headlocks but as they launch forward it actually gives me beautiful leglock entries. Also it is just one of those things I should be aware of as mentioned and be ready to defend. Mainly shrugging my shoulders, rotating and gripfighting their grip or, if there is more space there, not allowing them to get into an advantage position. So for instance their Guillotine is in tight but I feel I can scramble op top into side control. In practice I usually just beat them to a good leglock position as they make their attempt. Just focus on timing and out angling them.
@@EnergiaMartialArts Thanks for the response! So if you go to elevate their leg and they latch on to a rolling headlock, do you think most of the time you can just continue entering the legs and they will have to let go of the headlock?

Great details including the head control and keeping hands free to be able to freely transition into other attacks etc, I look forward to drilling this technique tomorrow
